Celebrate with Bangalore Press!

A big NAMASKARA to all!

Welcome to the official Bangalore Press Blog!

Through the Bangalore Press Blog, we are introducing an innovative service and we are excited to share the same with you avid followers and patrons of Bangalore Press.

In line with Bangalore Press' aim to preserve and nurture the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka, we will be publishing a series of articles/essays/write-ups covering a wide range of topics related to Karnataka’s culture and heritage. Starting this Makara Sankranthi, this blog will give you information about the ‘what, why and how’ of popular festivals, rituals, events and traditions from across Karnataka - be it a Jaathre, Utsava, or a Santhe in a lesser known village.

The key difference between this service and others will be that this service is going to be BY you and FOR you. Bangalore Press aims to create a repository of information about traditions and cultures of Karnataka, for Kannadigas worldwide (and anybody else interested). We will kick start this series with posts by us, and in time invite contributions by anyone and everyone who wants to be a part of this amazing journey of discovery and celebration.

Whether you are a travel enthusiast, a shutterbug, a housewife or someone living away from family across the ocean – this blog is for you.

We hope our offering will help you stay rooted to ‘Namma Naadu’, and we hope that this collaborative effort will help one another grow.

  1. Dear Ananth,
Congratulations on this new initiative. I trust this step will bring out lot of "unknown" part of our culture and traditions. Focus also need to be on why of this "tradition & rituals" in order for the new generation to carry these things forward.
